Cheese bread
Cheese bread is that food that no one can resist! Warm from the oven.
This little bread, so loved throughout Brazil, seems to be the perfect combination with a hot cup of coffee.
It's a great option for breakfast, afternoon tea, or a late-night snack.
This delicacy was created in Minas Gerais many years ago, and was later taken to other states.
Nowadays, we find several versions of the cheese bread recipe, some fit, others not so much because they are stuffed.
The most important thing is that this bread is enjoyed in any form.
I'll teach you the traditional recipe for this delicacy, and then feel free to innovate and make this delicacy even tastier.

Ingredients
- 1 cup of milk
- ½ cup oil
- ½ level tablespoon of salt
- 500 g sweet cassava starch
- 2 eggs
- 1 ½ cups grated semi-cured cheese
Preparation Method
Place the milk, oil and salt in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat and, when it starts to boil, pour the mixture over the cassava starch previously placed in a bowl.
Stir well with a wooden spoon to scald all the cassava starch.
Then add the eggs, one by one, always stirring with a wooden spoon, to check the consistency of the cheese bread dough.
Add the grated cheese and mix with your hands until the dough no longer sticks to your hands. Knead until it is smooth and soft.
Then, roll small balls in the palm of your hand and place them on a baking sheet. Finally, bake the cheese bread in a preheated oven at 200°C for approximately 20 minutes.
