Creamy Chicken

This chicken breast will be tasty, juicy and with a creamy white sauce with a hint of citrus.

INGREDIENTS
Chicken:
- 300 grams of chicken breast fillet
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 pinch of oregano
- 1 pinch of smoked paprika
- 3 crushed garlic cloves
- 1 dash of olive oil
- ½ squeezed Sicilian lemon
Sauce:
- 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
- 1 tablespoon of wheat flour
- 250 ml whole milk
- ½ cup cream cheese
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 pinch of freshly grated nutmeg
- Sicilian lemon zest
- 1 squeezed Sicilian lemon
PREPARATION METHOD:
- First, start by seasoning the chicken, so that the flavor begins to penetrate the meat.
- Season the chicken with salt, black pepper, oregano, and smoked paprika.
- The seasoning is to taste, so add the seasonings of your preference.
- Add a drizzle of olive oil to the chicken and squeeze a Sicilian lemon over it, the lemon will add flavor and tenderness to the chicken.
- Stir the chicken and rub the seasoning all over the meat.
- Now set the chicken aside and let it marinate in the fridge, so that it absorbs the seasoning.
- Now we are going to make the white sauce with a citrus touch to accompany our creamy chicken.
- Sauce
- In a pan, melt the butter and mix in the wheat flour and stir well, let it cook a little.
- Be careful not to burn the flour, add the milk and stir well until the flour dissolves.
- Add the cream cheese, which will give this white sauce a lot of creaminess.
- Season the sauce with salt, black pepper and nutmeg.
- Let it cook over medium to low heat, stirring constantly.
- This sauce is prepared very quickly. As soon as it starts to boil, just wait for it to reach the desired consistency.
- At this point, turn off the heat and add the Sicilian lemon zest and lemon juice.
- Now grill the chicken fillets.
- Heat a frying pan, add olive oil and brown the chicken on both sides.
- Place the grilled chicken on a pretty plate when you are ready to serve it and you can pour the white sauce on top.
